Noah's Ark

Ok guys, listen up. I just left a meeting with God. He says He is going to destroy the earth with a flood due to wickedness and wants me to build a huge boat to save our family and all the animals to repopulate the earth. I have the specs right here. 300 x 50 x 30 cubits. Wow, that's big, gonna take a long time, but doable. He says here to use GOPHER wood, and cover it with PITCH inside and out.

I THINK we should use that new fiberglass/wood substitute like we used last month on that skiff we built. It's BETTER and cheaper than gopher wood, it bends easier and will be easier on our saw blades and drill bits. It has more buoyancy, It's twice as strong as wood, and has a 200-year warranty. By using the wood substitute, our support beams can be smaller, freeing up some space. So we can shave off a bit on overall size, and finish sooner. I THINK we would be ok with 280 x 45 x 30 cubits.

Then, instead of that nasty pitch, we can seal it with Polyhidge 345. Not only will this be BETTER than pitch, it will really show the grain in the artificial wood, and LOOK much better. You know, people are going to be driving by for decades while we build this thing, and we want IT to be a showcase. We can build something really BEAUTIFUL, and God will be praised.

What was God's will in His instructions to Noah? Did He require gopher wood, pitch, and EXACT dimensions, or was it a mere suggestion for general specifications that Noah was free to try and improve upon, to make it easier, and more attractive to him and those watching?

God also said through Paul "sing and make melody in your heart".

God also said through Peter "repent, AND be baptized"

Take a look around, has man not tried to make these easier, or more attractive to other men? The reasoning for adding instruments to singing is to make it more appealing and contemporary for man, not God! If God says He wants ugly, smelly, sticky PITCH on His vessel, then that's what He expects us to want too! “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” Galatians‬ ‭1:10‬ ‭NIV

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭7:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬
