Jehovah

I was listening to 'These Are The Days of Elijah' this morning. There is a verse that repeats over and over these words, "There's no God like Jehovah".

There are things that rule in people's lives that, in essence, become their god(s). Maybe it's the NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR. Maybe it is fishing, cycling, motorcycles, antique cars. Maybe it is work, money, leisure or hobbies. For others, it's the chemicals in a needle, the bottom of a bottle or even the immoral sexual conduct with others of the same mindset. Our list could go on and on of things that somehow manage to push God aside and take up the most important place in our lives and consume our time, our thoughts, our conversations and the innermost part of our souls.

There's no God like Jehovah. None of these things are alive and active. None of these things can love us back. None of these things offer us eternal life in Heaven, where the blessings far outweigh anything we can possibly imagine in this life. None of these things has sacrificed for us, or even care about us, yet we battle the tendency to allow them to occupy the space that only God should occupy.

There's no God like Jehovah. No one or nothing else created us, provides for us, or abides with us. Our God is everything, has everything, and offers everything.

There's no God like Jehovah!
