What Do We See?

Just a little encouragement today to remind us that we must absolutely be careful how we view others and their actions, and simultaneously be careful to make sure others see who we really are.

Our actions certainly speak louder than our words, and people are watching us all the time. There are always some who just want to see us mess up, and most others who just observe us like they do everybody else.

When we do bad things, say bad things or promote bad things they see that. But they see when we do good as well, and in fact, Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:16 to take advantage of them watching so that God can be glorified when they do, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

So today, when you see something, don't let first impressions be your only impression of others as that's not fair to them, nor is it an accurate picture of who we are if the one and only time they see us, they catch us at our worst moment on a bad day. Let us be light to a dark world, and let us show them by our deeds that we serve our heavenly Father.
