Think On These Things

They led Him away,
He was sinless you see,
And for the love He gave them,
They nailed Him to a tree.

Our days are filled with so much stuff. I can't speak for anybody but me, but from the time my alarm goes off, until I lay back down at night, I've got stuff to do, and stuff on my mind, and I'm busy, with little actual "nothing" time. It takes effort and a bit of habit forming work, to focus my mind on spiritual things. Writing these short articles helps me do that, and I hope they help you do the same. If so, please share them with others so they too can spend a few minutes with their minds centered on Christ.

When we wake, what are our first thoughts? When we go to bed, where is our mind? During the day, do we take time to ponder our position in relation to Christ, what He has done for us, and what we owe Him?

Jesus deserves our time and our thoughts. He is King of our lives is he not? How much honor each day do we give to our King? We think of our spouses, our kids, our employees and our friends throughout the day, but how often do we think about Christ?

Jesus loves us. He looks down upon us, cares for us, and walks with us. We need to be walking with Him, caring for Him, and looking upward throughout our days.

Phil 4:8 says " brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

Jesus is all of these things, true, noble, righteous, pure, lovely and admirable, worthy of praise and excellent in all things. Let your heart ponder these things more often, and find a closer relationship with Him.
