G.R.A.C.E.

With everything that we see happening in the world today it often seems as though the world has little hope of ever getting any better. However, there will come a time that all things will be better for those that know Jesus Christ and have had the opportunity to experience his never ending grace.  Grace is defined as unmerited favor, meaning we have been shown kindness in some form or fashion when we have not even deserved it.  Scenarios like this rarely happen in the “real world” we are more inclined to believe that we have to work for everything that we get and that there is nothing that is free.

But with God, that is just not the case. Through Jesus Christ, God makes the impossible, possible. God made eternal life possible by providing for us salvation through the blood of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.  Paul told the church in Rome, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) In doing so, Jesus willingly went to the cross on our behalf so that the eternal destination for ALL of mankind could be provided.  Because this action was completed on our behalf, we in turn must be willing to extend grace because it has been shown to us in such a wonderful way.

We do not deserve the unmerited favor of a loving God that was willing to send his one and only son to die a death on the cross so that we could have the opportunity of life in heaven.  However, because Christ was willing to make such a sacrifice on our behalf he was able to do for us what we could not do for ourselves.  He provided G.R.A.C.E.  God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.  The riches of a loving, merciful and grace giving God provided for his children free of charge due to the willingness of his obedient son Jesus Christ!
