Where Did Dad Go?

I've no idea if these figures are correct, or if their origin is based on research, but even if we can't substantiate them, they ought to make us think.

If a CHILD leads the way in commitment to church, 3.5% of families follow.
If a MOM leads, 17% follow.
If a DAD leads, 93% follow.

When God identified the man as the leader figure in the family, He intended it to be for spiritual things as well as physical things. Today, men have often shunned the spiritual side of things, and sadly the physical as well. Some have abandon families as far as leadership is concerned, and perhaps even left them literally, to fend for themselves. But men have an important role to fulfill, and it's not to be confused with a dominance. We aren't to be the supreme commander with ultimate rule and authority. If we think that way we better study the Bible some more. No, we are to give ourselves for the betterment of our families, loving, leading and sacrificing for them with love like Christ had when He gave Himself for humanity. (Eph 5)

MEN, IT'S IMPORTANT THAT WE LOVE AND SERVE OUR FAMILIES WITH SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP!

Food for thought!
