Full Strength Gospel

"Beware of watering down Christianity until the solution is so weak that if it were poison it would not hurt anyone, and if it were medicine it would not cure anyone." AW Tozer

While those are definitely true words, God warns us not to water down Christianity at all. God knows mankind, and even we have to admit that if we ever got started, we'd not know where to draw the line, or certainly could not agree on where it needed to be.

Let us be reminded that "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,..." 2 Tim 3:16.

If we start picking and choosing certain parts of Scripture we want to ignore, how are we able to teach the Gospel with portions of it missing, how can we begin to admonish or rebuke with partial information? How can we give guidance for correction? If we are striving for righteousness, but seek it with partial information, what part of righteousness are we potentially missing?

Instead of browsing over certain portions of Scripture to appease our appetites, let us understand that God wants to feed us with all of His teachings, backed up by all of His knowledge, wisdom and understanding. He has arranged things the way He has for a reason. We can't possibly improve on that by altering anything He has to say.
