Times of Turmoil
Times of turmoil have often been times when the church has had great potential and success for growth. These times may open those new doors for us, as people seek to find what the world seems to be missing. Daily we see our world being under the obvious control and continuing influence of Satan.
In the midst of these moments when we see people who need God so badly, what better time to pray for Him to open doors, soften hearts and grow the Kingdom? Let us rise to meet the opportunities. At the same time, we must up our game in staying faithful and not allowing ourselves to be adversely influenced by the forces of evil in our midst. We are fighting a war, and must not forget that. “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:10-13 NIV.
