Pray, Pray, Pray

"Pray without ceasing", the devil is. He's preying without ceasing!

The Apostle Paul through inspiration wrote those words to the church in Thessalonica, and they come in the middle of a thought that would be good for us to ponder today.

..."warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil." (1 Thess 5:14-22)

We need to pray all the time, thanking God for what He provides, and asking for His protection and deliverance from the devil who never lets an opportunity to tempt us go by. Prayer is a large part of who we are as we strive to live up to the words Paul commands.

Paul ends his thoughts in ch-5 by saying that ..."The one who calls you is faithful,..." (vs 24). May we be faithful in our communication with Him, and communicate continually with both body and spirit as we strive to be acceptable before Him, through the blood of Jesus.
